Snoovly

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This policy is available in English only.

The short version

1. Who we are

Snoovly (the app at snoovly.app and the website at snoovly.com) is operated by Leonel Roberto Zimi trading as Snoovly, 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Snoovly", "we", "us").

We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used. You can contact us about anything in this policy at snoovly.team@gmail.com.

2. Who Snoovly is for

Snoovly is designed for adults (18 or over) who are parents, guardians or carers of a child. It is not designed for, or directed at, children, and children should not create accounts. The information in Snoovly is about a child, but it is entered and controlled by the adult using the app.

3. What information we collect

Information you give us

TypeExamples
Account details Email address, display name, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), your relationship to the child (for example "mum" or "grandparent"), preferred language. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
Your child's profile First name or nickname, age range and (optionally) date of birth, sleep goals, sleep environment (room temperature, white noise, darkness, where and how they fall asleep).
Health-related information about your child Health flags you choose to tick (such as reflux or snoring), medicines given, illness or teething notes, nappy output, feeds and solids, and any free-text notes you add.
Sleep and daily logs Times your child fell asleep and woke, naps, night wakings and their causes, feeds, nappy changes, mood, milestones and similar events, plus which family member logged them.
Goals and survey answers Your own goals for rest, and answers to short in-app surveys (such as how likely you are to recommend Snoovly).
Family members you invite The email address of anyone you invite to share your child's logs, and the role you give them.
Waitlist sign-ups If you join the waitlist on our website, or ask us to email you our free sleep chart: your email address, country, whether you are happy to be contacted for a short call, how you found us (for example the link you followed), and your answers to the questionnaire, or for the sleep chart only your child's age range. The answers are categories, such as your child's age range and the sleep difficulties you picked; we do not ask for your child's name or date of birth.
Voice recordings If you use voice entry, a short audio recording of what you say. It is sent for transcription and is not stored by Snoovly.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, our hosting and infrastructure providers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request, which they use to deliver the service and keep it secure. Snoovly does not currently use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

Snoovly stores information in your browser's local storage so it works offline and remembers your settings (for example your language, theme and, if you have not created an account, your logs). If you sign in, local storage also holds your sign-in session. This storage is strictly necessary for the features you ask for, so we do not ask for separate consent for it. If we ever add analytics or other non-essential storage, we will ask first.

4. Information about your child, and health information

Sleep, feeding, medicine and symptom information about a child can be health data, which data protection law treats as a special category that needs extra protection. We take that seriously:

We process health data about your child on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you choose to enter it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the information or your account.

5. How we use your information and our legal bases

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

7. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Where that happens we rely on an adequacy decision (such as the UK-US Data Bridge and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the UK and EU authorities, together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

8. How long we keep it

9. Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:

To use any of these rights, use the controls in the app or email us at snoovly.team@gmail.com. We will reply within one month. As a parent or guardian, you can exercise these rights on your child's behalf.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you live in the EU, to the data protection authority in your country.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our database provider. Access to each family's data is restricted at the database level so that only members of that family can read it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the regulator where the law requires.

11. Medical disclaimer

Snoovly shares general sleep information and the patterns in your own logs. It is not a sleep consultant or a medical device, and it does not give recommendations, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. See our Terms for more.

12. Users outside the UK and EU

If you live in the United States, Brazil, Japan or elsewhere, you may have additional rights under local law (for example the CCPA in California or the LGPD in Brazil). Contact us and we will honour them.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as Snoovly changes. If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
