How to fill it in: shade a box for each half hour your little one is asleep. Write F for a feed, N for a nappy and × for a wake-up. Each box is 30 minutes, so two shaded boxes make an hour.

Typical total sleep at 4 to 12 months: 12 to 16 hours in 24, naps included. Source: American Academy of Sleep Medicine consensus statement (2016).

Rather tap than shade?

Snoovly logs the night in one tap, shares it with your partner and draws this chart for you.

About the chart

How do I fill in the sleep chart?

Each row is one day, from 6am to 6am the next morning, split into half-hour boxes. Shade a box for each half hour your child is asleep, and write F for a feed, N for a nappy and × for a wake-up. Two shaded boxes make an hour.

Which chart should I use?

Pick the age band your child is in now. The grid is the same for every age; each version prints the typical total sleep range for that age from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s 2016 consensus, as general information.

Is the chart medical advice?

No. It is a blank chart for recording your own child’s sleep. Snoovly shares general sleep information, not medical advice. If anything about your child’s sleep or health worries you, talk to your health visitor, GP or paediatrician.

Is it free?

Yes. You can see the chart on this page for free. Leave your email and we send you the printable PDF and keep you a place on the Snoovly waitlist.
